The 3-pin Tamiya Connector is often used with 9.6V and 12V battery packs where the red wire supplies 9.6V and 12V respectively, and the blue wire supplies 7.2v and 9.6V

3 Pin Tamiya female connector is a 3 Pin version of standard 2-pin Tamiya connector. They are very often found in 9.6V and 12V RC battery packs. These connectors are built in a way to avoid shortening and reverse polarity and the additional latch secures the connection to prevent them from accidental disconnection. Mostly used with 20 to 14AWG silicone cables

The polarization of Tamiya with 3 Pins is as follows:

  • RED wire "+" connected to the outer square terminal
  • BLACK "-" wire connected to the middle square terminal
  • BLUE wire connected to a semi-circular terminal

Maximum recommended cable thickness: 14AWG (2.1mm²)
